Tasks
Tasks allow you to run multiple processes in a specific sequence, so that you as a user can get more done with fewer clicks.
With tasks, you can create a logical action, like "Generate weekly reports" or "Create expense report" that might require a whole series of things to be done. You can quickly create these wizards so users can perform common actions.
Parts of a Task
As part of running an overall task, there are 3 types of steps.- Running a process - You can re-run a process, such as importing data, or re-creating a summary view.
- Editing data - You might need the user to edit some data as they are running through a task. An example might be to categorize newly imported invoices as part of the "Import new invoices" task.
- Configuring inputs - Configurable inputs allow different people to use the defined task with their own data. For example, I might need to generate reports for project ACME123, while another user might need to do the same for project CORP234.
